I am a conservation geneticist and evolutionary biologist studying the intersection between genotype, phenotype and organismal response to climate change. I am particularly interested in marine and freshwater species of socioeconomic importance and use an integrative approach combining advanced genomic and transcriptomic technologies with laboratory and field experiments when possible. Ultimately, my goal is to understand the roles of standing genetic variation and/or phenotypic plasticity in equipping animals to face the challenges presented to them as a direct result of anthropogenically mediated climate change.
